Rob and I moved to Restineas Cottage in 2009. Restineas is a Cornish name meaning 'between the ford and the burial ground' and, being the site of an old mixed mine, we are surrounded by little leats and waterfalls, and up the hill a tumulus is marked on the map.
Now our garden is a leafy oasis surrounded by tall oaks and other trees, and we have developed the vegetable beds and orchard, aided and abetted by our geese and chickens.
The Longstore was originally a collection of piggeries and a milking parlour, belonging to the families who lived here in Restineas Cottage years ago. We decided to convert The Longstore into a holiday let and now it is a welcoming one bedroomed bungalow big enough for up to four people. It is completely self contained, so once you are here you can come and go as you wish to enjoy your Cornish holiday to the full.
OUR STORY

Frances and her husband were wonderful friendly hosts. The Longstore was a fantastic place to stay. Immaculately clean and a great homely place to stay. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Lovely, clean, well equipped, quiet and tranquil! Great family friendly place with huge garden that has fire pit, big open area for games, long walks and animals which our kids really enjoyed, especially the very friendly dog Merlin.

The cottage was very clean, spacious, (Frances even put a cot into our bedroom for our baby son), and well equipped with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and bathroom, with loads of clean towels and even some beach towels .
